ABOUT THE BOOK TITLE
The title of the book is an anagram of Florence Nightingale, which was thought up by Lewis Carroll, who also wrote "Alice in Wonderland". If you don't believe me, just draw a line between each letter in Florence Nightingale and the same letter in Flit On, Cheering Angel.
TOP TEN REASONS FOR BECOMING A NURSE--- I did not write this; just changed it a little bit. It was found on thatwasfunny.com
10. Higher pay than your local fast food joint. The hours are worse but you don't have to ask your patients "Do you want fries with that"?
9.Sexy uniforms and the latest fashionable shoes
8. You get to give shots, not get them.
7.You can become more confident when you tell your patients that all bleeding stops-----sooner or later.
6.Opportunities to expose yourself to fascinating new highly contagious diseases
5.Exotic aromas, sights, and sounds
4. Courteous and infallible doctors who always write understandable orders in legible handwriting.
3.You get to celebrate all of the holidays at work with your friends.
2.Handsome, kind, gentle, and sensitive doctors who are looking to marry a nurse.
1. Comfort in knowing that most of your patients will survive, no matter what you and the doctors do to them.
ABOUT THE PICTURE: Sometimes it shows up and sometimes it does not, depending on which search engine you use. The propeller is a standard two-blade propeller which is spinning. It looks like a boomerang because I took the picture with a digital camera (which scans pictures) rather than a regular camera which "snaps" pictures.

This space is supposed to be filled with quotations from satisfied customers. So far, everybody who has seen the book thinks it is great.
Just to be fair, I will post the unfavorable comments also. As of July 2007, there have been only two:
"The book should be five inches by seven inches, not notebook size". The book is notebook size for two reasons: #1. So that it will fit into a notebook. The left edge is wide enough to let you use a three-hole punch for the rings in a notebook. #2 A five inch by seven inch book would cost almost twice as much to have printed. This means that you would have to pay more for the book.
On page 23, there is an extra word in the blurb about cast cutters. The sentence should read, "I prefer to slip a tongue blade under the edge of the cast." The word "people" does not belong there. This error will be corrected for the next printing of the book.
A neighbor nurse, who I gifted a copy of your book to, came over to the house and said that the book was a good review of what she learned in nurses' training, plus had "some stuff" in it she'd never thought of or heard of... Cool review by a practitioner in the field, eh? Said she had a niece who was in training and she thought she'd share the book with her (I almost told her to order her one, but....). Wally Oklahoma
I wish I'd had this book while I was still in school. Pam Michigan
I am going to show this to some of the nurses here and also to the nurse educator. Bonnie New Mexico
